Bassa is a rather unusual name for a Ukrainian furniture factory. What is connected with such a choice?
We thought about the name for a long time, all members of the company's founders. We chose between two options — Bassa and Itoito, but I liked the sound of the first option more. The etymology of the word bassa is based on the following definitions, like beauty, smartness, elegance, decoration.
During the year of the company's existence, what are the most significant and interesting projects you can highlight?
The first project was furniture for the office of our partners, Building Evolution. Cabinet furniture for their new office — 250 sq.m. creative space. Each cabinet of the office was made in different styles. We made our debut in designing desks for employees, we could not find similar tables.
The second important object for us was the kitchen, which combined functionality and modern design. With this product, we came out and declared ourselves as a factory, because in this project we managed to implement everything, which can be implemented by an experienced manufacturer with extensive experience.
What are the prospects for development, and whether you plan to enter the international market?
So, mi, like every company, we plan to expand our production and markets. Our goal is to do this in the next year or two. But first, we will finish the LEAN process (lean production), which is nearing completion.
What difficulties did you have to face?, as a young Ukrainian brand?
There were difficulties with processes and assessment of implementation terms. We approach the project very responsibly, we worry about every centimeter, and the quality of work is first of all for us.
It was quite difficult to find and form a team of like-minded people. We strive to find professionals, who are passionate about their work.
What principles are the work of the Bassa team based on??
For us, a project is not just drawing and implementing, as requested by the client, and make the project better than expected. Think through everything to the smallest detail, make a cool design, surprise the client with the thoughtfulness of every detail. Our main advantage is the team. We employ the best craftsmen and designers.
