In mid-April, the factory team "Before" attended the main event of the world furniture industry — Salone del Mobile 2025, which took place in Milan. The annual exhibition traditionally determines the vector of development for the coming years. This year, it gathered more than 2,000 brands from 37 countries and more 300 thousands of visitors.
Well-known houses of furniture and world design were presented at the exhibition: Edra, B&B Italia, Minotti, Flexform, Visionary, Molteni&C and others. It is their presence that sets quality standards, environmental friendliness and functionality for the entire market.
Special attention was paid to kitchen areas, living rooms and dressing rooms, which became the center of expositions of many leading brands.
Speaking of kitchens, big islands are in trend, hidden systems and natural materials: stone, marble, tree. Stainless steel is also making a comeback, which adds a professional look to the space. Living rooms testify to the popularity of organic modernism, where soft forms are combined, natural materials and neutral colors. And dressing rooms turn into elegant spaces, made of high quality materials, using valuable wood species, metal, glass.
Key trends of the Salone del Mobile 2025:
1. Forms and volumes: organicity and softness.
This year, designers often move away from clear geometry, giving preference to soft streamlined forms: round sofas, tables on sculptural legs. It creates a feeling of comfort and naturalness.
2. Materials: the warmth of natural wood, the nobility of the stone, environmental friendliness.
The use of natural materials became the central theme of the exhibition. Designers turn to wood, stone and metal, combining them to create warm and aesthetic interiors. What we paid attention to:
emphasis on warm wood (nut, oak);
porcelain stoneware with the texture of natural stone;
combination of wood and marble;
the return of brass and leather;
glass abstract decor elements.
3. Coloristics: earth tones and deep contrasts.
This year's color solutions are aimed at creating a calm and harmonious atmosphere. Earthy shades of terracotta and ocher combine with warm beige for balance and contrast. Deep burgundy and emerald colors prevail in porcelain stoneware.
Mobile salon 2025 confirmed: the main request of a modern interior is comfort, environmental friendliness and timeless design. Ukrainian designers should focus on texture, light and functional forms, and customers — to choose things with content and materials with history.
